Meet Our Team
Brittany is the Founder and CEO of Banner Medical and a native of the Chicago-land-area in Illinois. Banner Medical combines her passion for writing with her medical background as a pharmacist; with the goal of improving patient outcomes through educating healthcare providers. Brittany is an expert in the development of needs assessments, continuing education, and scientific writing. With over a decade of experience in community pharmacy, Brittany can tailor and deliver any medical communication project you have in a balanced, accurate, and timely manner.
Brittany earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degrees from Drake University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in 2012. After graduate school, she completed a Post-Graduate-Year-1 Community Pharmacy Residency where she earned her teaching-and-learning certificate, dedicated herself to patient-centered pharmacy care, and learned the business of pharmacy. It was during her residency year that Brittany discovered her passion for education and desire to be an entrepreneur.
After residency training, Brittany accepted the role of pharmacist in charge and clinical pharmacist within the community pharmacy setting. Brittany also precepts student pharmacists helping to prepare them for their future careers as pharmacists. In her free time, Brittany loves to travel to new and exciting places with her husband and family, playing with her dogs, and singing. She is also very involved in her State Pharmacy Association where she serves as a Board Member, Journal Editor, and Co-chair of the Public Relations Committee. In 2018, Brittany was awarded the Edmond P. Barcus Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award for her service to the Illinois Pharmacists Association.
Sarah is the Chief Operating Officer for Banner Medical, bringing clinical pharmacy expertise to her leadership role. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The Ohio State University in 2018 and completed advanced pharmacy training through a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. As an ambulatory clinical pharmacy specialist with a focus on cardiometabolic risk reduction, she excels at translating complex pharmacy topics for both patients and clinicians.
Miriam is a Senior Project Manager at Banner Medical, where she has been a key team member since 2019. With extensive experience in medical writing and clinical communication, she has been instrumental in developing and mentoring new medical writers. Miriam earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions and has been recognized with the Wolters Kluwer Clinical Drug Information Award of Excellence in Clinical Communication, highlighting her exceptional communication skills and academic achievements.
Priscilla is the Executive Assistant at Banner Medical, bringing over 15 years of experience in executive administrative services to business owners and leaders. In her role, she serves as a vital liaison between the leadership team, clinical writing team, and the clientele, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Madison is a writer for Banner Medical, and currently resides in Haleiwa, Hawaii. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degrees from Creighton University in 2019. She looks forward to advancing her pharmacy career with a focus on the communBioity and patient-centered care. In her free time, Madison can be found volunteering, spending time with her husband and two children, hiking, and at the beach.
Christine is a medical writer for Banner Medical and currently resides in Morgantown, West Virginia. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2018, and went on to complete her PGY-1 and PGY-2 at Allegheny General Hospital. After residency, she received her Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP). She currently practices as an oncology pharmacy specialist in outpatient solid tumors at WVU Medicine Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center in Morgantown, WV. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, going to breweries with friends, and playing with her dog.
Tomasz (Tom) is a writer for Banner Medical, and a current resident of Chicago. He completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Chicago State University in 2017 and then went on to complete his PGY-1 residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. He then became a faculty member at Roosevelt University College of Pharmacy. He specialized in pharmacotherapy and ambulatory care in 2019, then went on to become a certified diabetes care and education specialist in 2020. He works with underserved communities to promote health and quality care for his patients. Tom likes to stay active by running, biking, and hiking. When temperatures and snow drop in the Midwest, he grabs his snowboard and escapes on the slopes.
Audrey is a medical writer for Banner Medical, and resides in the Milwaukee, WI area. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Iowa in 2012. After graduation, she completed a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency at Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin in 2013 and earned a Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2014. Audrey specializes in drug information and public health – she is passionate about helping others understand evidence-based medicine and medication safety. She is also an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Medication Utilization Pharmacist, and outpatient Staff Pharmacist. For fun, Audrey loves to play board/card games with friends and spend time with her husband and two young boys.
Tony is a medical writer for Banner Medical and currently resides in Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Shenandoah University in 2020 and completed his PGY1 residency at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. After residency, he continued working at Meritus as a clinical pharmacist before transitioning into correctional medicine. He received his board certification in ambulatory care pharmacy in the Fall of 2022 and is finishing a Master’s in applied pharmacoeconomics. In his free time, Tony can be found playing with his kids at one of Maryland’s beaches or playing disc golf.
Spencer is a medical writer for Banner Medical and is originally from Johnstown, PA. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2018. After graduation, she completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency training at Cleveland Clinic – Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights, OH in 2019, and then she completed a PGY2 in oncology at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV in 2020. After residency, she received her board certification in oncology pharmacy (BCOP) and continued her career at WVU Medicine Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center in Morgantown, WV as an Oncology Pharmacy Specialist. She currently works as an outpatient bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies pharmacist. Spencer enjoys reading and training for half marathons in her spare time, and she is dedicated to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care and education to patients and other healthcare professionals.
Philip is a medical writer for Banner Medical and resides in Houston, TX. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Houston in 2020. He works full time at a local Texas community pharmacy and serves as a medical advisor for Healthline Media. He is passionate about precepting and mentoring the next generation of pharmacists. Philip is an avid martial artist and can be found training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai in his spare time.
Hi, I’m Lori. I am a Peloton fanatic and foodie. I graduated with my PharmD in 2010 and am a board-certified critical care pharmacist. I have worked in the academic, hospital, and industry settings of pharmacy throughout my career and worked in numerous therapeutic areas. I enjoy assisting pharmaceutical and biotech companies with drug development and research as well as medical writing.
Savannah Cunningham is a pharmacist who graduated in 2022 from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia, though she is originally from middle Tennessee. She works full time as the Director of Public Policy for the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding. She is active in professional pharmacy associations and has served in various leadership roles since the beginning of pharmacy school. In her free time, she creates content for pharmacists on her personal blog & YouTube channel in a series called “The RxReel.” She worked with Banner as an intern during pharmacy school as well.
Salia Farrokh is a neurocritical care clinical pharmacist specialist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Farrokh received her PharmD degree from St. John University Wegmans School of Pharmacy in Rochester, NY. Her postgraduate training includes residencies in Pharmacy Practice and Critical Care at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Farrokh’s research interests include effective antiplatelet therapy in neurocritical care, CNS-related infections, optimal pain management in neuro ICU patients, neurological complications in ECMO, and use of neurostimulants in this setting. Dr. Farrokh has lectured widely on analgesia and sedation, status epilepticus, ICH reversal, ICP management, and she has authored or co-authored many reports and reviews in peer-reviewed journals as well as chapters in textbooks. Dr. Farrokh is passionate about teaching and is a certified emergency neurological life support (ENLS) trainer.
Joelle lives near Jacksonville, Florida. She earned her PharmD in 2008 from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 residency at Louis A. Johnson VA Healthcare System. She has worked as a Consultant Pharmacist and has thirteen years of experience as a Hospice Clinical Pharmacist. Joelle’s hobbies include reading and cooking, and in her free time, she enjoys attending concerts and theater performances, discovering great food, and exploring used bookstores with her husband.
Georgina is a Medical Writer for Banner Medical, and resides in Madison, WI area. She graduated from School of Pharmacy, Alexandria University in Egypt. After graduation she received her Master’s degrees in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the same University. Due to her passion in research, she traveled to the States to further pursue her graduate studies where she received her second Master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Following that, she moved with her husband to WI and started on getting her Pharmacy licensure as a foreign grad. Georgina got her license in 2021, and she is currently a PGY2 Specialty pharmacy administration and leadership resident at Lumicera Health Services. She is highly interested in continuing her career in the specialty pharmacy world. In her free time, Georgina loves going outdoors with her husband and two kids, when she is home, she loves baking, playing and decorating the house with her kids.
Dylan is a Medical Writer for Banner Medical, and is a lifelong Michigan resident. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan in 2020. Dylan is currently a PGY1 resident at The Detroit Medical Center Sinai-Grace Hospital, where he has continued his passion of assisting underserved communities. During his free time, Dylan enjoys playing basketball, being outdoors, and spending time with his friends and family.
Dr. Meg Croom Taylor is an oncology pharmacist, with a background largely in hematology and stem cell transplant. After completing her undergraduate degree at Clemson University, Dr. Taylor received her PharmD from the Medical University of South Carolina. She then completed both her PGY-1 pharmacy practice and PGY-2 oncology residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital before taking a position as a clinical pharmacy specialist at Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she also served as the Hematology Team Lead. Dr. Taylor has had extensive involvement in precepting students and residents, and maintains active with ASTCT and HOPA on various committees. Dr. Taylor has used her clinical expertise in roles developing continuing education programs for oncology professionals, medical writing, and most recently, working on the production of a biomarker-driven decision support tool for oncologists.
